What substances can you test?
Transparency Testing can test a diverse range of substances, including psychoactive substances, gel tabs, gummies, supplements, nootropics, pharmaceuticals, plant preparations, tinctures, pills, powders, liquids, blotters, fungi, and extracts. We also assess pesticide residues and other toxic additives. Our lab employs advanced methods to quantify major components and identify active ingredients, even in trace amounts. However, we do not test radioactive, biological, or biohazardous materials. See Which Analysis Do I Need to read about which services test what.
How long does it take to get results?
Results are typically available within one week from when your sample arrives at our lab. While shipping times vary, using a fast shipping option with tracking can expedite the process.
How should I prepare my sample for shipping?
- Make sure your substance is homogenized (mixed thoroughly), then collect your sample accordingly:
- 10–50 mg for powders/crystalline substances
- 1 pill
- 1 blotter
- 1 g of plant material
- 2 drops of liquid
- Place your sample into a small plastic test tube/vial, or sealable baggie. If it is liquid, it must be in a plastic test tube/vial and sealed with tape.
- Place this test tube, vial, or baggie into another ziplock baggie. If it is liquid, we recommend double bagging your sample.
- Label your ziplock bag with your Sample ID (starting with “TT”).
- Put your labeled ziplock bag with your sample into an envelope, preferably a bubble-wrapped envelope to ship. Drop your envelope in a mailbox, or take it to the post office (or private courier of your choice) to ship and receive tracking. The local post office will be significantly cheaper (even with tracking) than a private courier (UPS, FedEx, etc), but the private courier will be more reliable. You will receive the shipping address upon placing an order.
Is it safe to send samples in the mail?
Properly packed, small amounts of samples are safe to mail. We do not accept or process samples that are radioactive, biological, or pose other physical dangers. Incorrectly packaged or unsafe samples will be discarded.
We understand you may not want your sample returned to your address if it does not make it to our lab. You do not need to list a return address for standard mailed envelopes—whether you include a return address or not will not affect delivery. However, some Priority Shipping options may require a return address—if this is the case, you may list an address of your choosing.
I’m shipping from the U.S. to your lab in Spain. Do I need to get tracking for my envelope?
Getting tracking with your shipment is the best way to ensure your sample will arrive safely, and that you know where it is if there are any delays. While this may require going into a post office, it is the best way to ensure your sample will arrive.
Can I send different samples together in the same envelope?
Yes, but each sample needs to be labeled with their individual Sample IDs.
Can I purchase multiple Analysis Services for multiple samples?
Yes. Currently, we only allow one sample per order, so if you want us to analyze multiple samples, simply complete the first order and place another. This ensures you have unique Sample IDs for each sample and service you select.
Is it legal to have my sample analyzed?
Analyzing controlled substances is legal in Spain, where our labs operate, provided samples are small and analyzed scientifically. While our service is private and does not require personal information (payments can be made using cryptocurrencies), you should verify the legality under your local laws.
Do I need to give personal information? Is my information protected?
Privacy is extremely important to us. Providing personal information is not necessary, and transactions can be entirely anonymous if paid with cryptocurrency. If you choose to provide personal information, such as paying by credit card, your information is secure and protected under our privacy policy. We will never share any personal information, and your data will be deleted from our systems after 1 month.
Do I need to list a return address?
We understand you may not want your sample returned to your address if it does not make it to our lab. You do not need to list a return address for standard mailed envelopes—whether you include a return address or not will not affect delivery. However, some Priority Shipping options may require a return address—if this is the case, you may list an address of your choosing.
What other testing options are available if I can’t afford lab testing, or prefer not to send my samples through the mail?
If you cannot send your sample into our lab, at-home testing is an excellent alternative. Though at-home testing is not as accurate as lab testing, it is still much safer than not testing at all. There are many options for at-home test kits for almost any substance on the market, along with fent strips and xyl strips at BunkPolice.com.
What happens if a sample does not arrive or it is seized by customs?
If a sample does not make it to our lab after 2 months, we will provide a full refund for the cost of the test purchased. Unfortunately, we cannot refund shipping costs.
Why is your lab located in Spain? Do you offer a U.S.-based lab analysis option?
As of now, U.S.-based labs are much more limited in the results reporting they can provide. U.S.-based labs cannot provide quantitative analysis (or purity/potency tests; the milligram/microgram amount of each active substance found in a sample) without a distinct DEA license.
Our lab in Spain can provide the exact milligram/microgram amounts, and has more complete testing capabilities regarding the types of tests that can be performed, and the types of samples we accept.
We are, however, in the process of offering a U.S.-based lab option in the near future with testing and reporting capabilities up to the standard of our current one in Spain!
Do you offer custom analyses?
We can offer custom analyses tailored to your specific needs, whether you require unique NMR experiments, specific mass spectrometry tests, or particular extraction procedures. Contact us with your requirements—we are committed to accommodating individual needs.
Can you test samples in bulk?
For more than 10 samples, please contact us to discuss bulk testing options. We offer discounts depending on the number of samples submitted for analysis.
